Davit Ishkhanyan, Artsakh Republic National Assembly President, Issued a Statement on the Resignation of Artur Harutyunyan, Member of the Republic of Artsakh NA

September 11 this year, Davit Ishkhanyan, the Head of the Artsakh National Assembly, made a statement which reads:

According to Part 1 of Article 138 of the Republic of Artsakh Law "Regulations of the National Assembly", I announce that Artur I. Harutyunyan, a member of the Republic of Artsakh National Assembly, submitted his resignation on September 11.

According to part 2 of Article 138 of the "Regulations of the National Assembly" law, if, within one week after the publication of the resignation, the deputy withdraws his resignation in a written application, then the President of the National Assembly makes a statement about it. If the person does not withdraw his application for resignation, then a protocol is drawn up about the termination of his powers, which is signed and published by the NA President and sent to the Central Electoral Commission.

According to Part 2 of Article 138 of the Law “Rules of Procedure of the National Assembly”, if within one week after the publication of the resignation letter, the deputy revokes his resignation in writing, then the President of the National Assembly makes a statement on this matter. If a person does not withdraw his resignation letter, then a protocol on the termination of his powers is drawn up, which is signed and published by the NA President and sent to the Central Election Commission.

The resignation is considered accepted from the moment of publication of the protocol."
