August 16, the Republic of Artsakh NA President, Davit Ishkhanyan received the Minister of Defense of the Republic of Artsakh, Commander of the Armed Forces, Kamo Vardanyan.

The Head of Parliament thanked the Commander of the Defense Army for accepting the invitation. In his speech, the NA President noted, that apart from legislative initiatives, he primarily attaches importance to the security and defense system represented by the Defense Army, which has been and remains the main guarantor of the security of our people.

Kamo Vardanyan congratulated Davit Ishkhanyan and express willingness to overcome challenges together.

The commander touched upon the tasks assigned to the Defense Army in the current situation, and ways to solve them.

Vardanyan also spoke about the ceasefire regime violations by the Azerbaijani units and the disinformation spread by them in the media.

The meeting was attended by the Chairman of the NA Standing Committee on Defense, Security and Law Enforcement, Marcel Petrosyan.
