August 7 this year, David Ishkhanyan, holder of the Order of the Combat Cross, 1st degree, member of the ARF Bureau, was elected President of the Republic of Artsakh National Assembly.

The “I'm honored” faction of the RA NA states the following:

The security of not only Artsakh, but also the Republic of Armenia depends on overcoming the humanitarian catastrophe caused by the illegal blockade of Artsakh by Azerbaijan;

The National Assembly of the Republic of Artsakh, being a state body endowed with a primary mandate, plays a big role in overcoming not only domestic, but also international challenges facing Artsakh;

Adventurous statements of some figures in the internal political field of the Artsakh Republic, and in some cases, statements arising from Azerbaijani interests, as well as the use of the created situation to gain power, may question the existence of the Republic of Artsakh.

Based on the foregoing, the “I'm Honored” faction of the RA NA:

Congratulates Davit Ishkhanyan on his election to the high and responsible position of the of the Republic of Artsakh National Assembly President in this difficult situation

Welcomes the steps aimed at increasing the role of the National Assembly of the Artsakh Republic as an elected representative body. In the situation created there is no alternative for the consolidation of national capable and healthy forces

Is determined to continue to serve the interests of the Republic of Artsakh with all the tools at its disposal without any separation and equating them with the interests of the Republic of Armenia

Is confident that the newly elected Head of the Republic of Artsakh will carry out consistent work towards the realization of the right to self-determination of Artsakh and is ready to continue contributing to that process through the party and parliamentary diplomacy.
