On one occasion, Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia said: "God is not in power, but in truth."
Our only truth is that on December 10, 1991, just a few days before the official collapse of the Soviet Union, the people of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic confirmed and exercised their right to have an independent state in a referendum. Earlier, on September 2, 1991, the declaration of the Nagorno Karabakh Republic formation was adopted at the joint session of the Nagorno Karabakh and Shahumyan regional councils which corresponded to both the legislative norms of the USSR and the right of the people to self-determination established in international legal documents.
Today, the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia, ignoring and nullifying the declaration of independence of the NKR, publicly announced that Armenia is ready to recognize the territorial integrity of 86.6 square kilometers of Azerbaijan, which, according to Nikol Pashinyan, also includes Nagorno-Karabakh. However, the security issue of the Armenians of Nagorno-Karabakh should be discussed in the Baku-Stepanakert dialogue.
But what kind of security rights and dialogue can we talk about, when for 162 days Azerbaijan has been illegally keeping Artsakh under complete blockade, continuing the ethnic cleansing and genocidal policy of Artsakh since the 80s.
We are calling on Armenians all over the world and in Armenia, all those who are concerned about the fate of Artsakh, to support the unwavering and determined will of the Artsakh Armenians to live and create peacefully and independently in their homeland.
Dear members of parliament,
We have no time to linger any longer. Every second is precious to save our future. Each deputy has something to say and to do in this difficult period. Serving the Motherland is a duty, defending the Motherland is a profession.
God bless the Republics of Armenia and Artsakh."
