April 14 is the memorial day of Artur Mkrtchyan, Chairman of the NKR Supreme Council of the First Convocation.

In his memory today the NA Vice President, Gagik Baghunts, accompanied by a group of deputies visited the Stepanakert memorial complex and laid flowers at the grave of Artur Mkrtchyan.

Artur Mkrtchyan was one of the pioneers of the Artsakh movement. He ruled the second Armenian state for only 97 days, but his life path and fate were immortalized in the modern history of Armenians.

“The land belongs to the one who lives on it and protects it,” Arthur Mkrtchyan believed.
