March 10, a regular sitting of the Artsakh Republic NA Standing Committee on State and Legal Affairs was called.

Artur Tovmasyan, President of the Artsakh National Assembly, was present at the sitting.

The only item on the agenda was the draft amendment to the Constitution of the Republic of Artsakh. It was presented by Jirayr Mirzoyan, the first deputy chief of the staff of the President of the Republic of Artsakh. He justified the need for change of the state administration system in terms of ensuring stability.

After an exchange of views, Sevak Aghajanyan, Chairman of the NA Standing Committee on State and Legal Affairs, put the project to a vote. With a ratio of 3 votes “ in favoir” , the draft will be submitted for discussion at the next sitting of Parliament in the first reading with a positive conclusion of the Committee.
