February 23, at the regular meeting of the National Assembly held on February 23, the committee approved the following amendments proposed by the draft law "On Amendments and Additions to the Law “On State Pensions”":
- According to the proposed additions and amendments, a person will be assigned a disability work pension even if he/she has the minimum length of service defined by law at the time of applying to change the type of pension
- In addition to citizens serving sentences in a penitentiary, being treated in a psychiatric hospital, and studying in a military educational institution, it is proposed to resume the suspended pension of the disabled person of the first group with a power of attorney
- The next amendment sets out to extend the deadlines for applying for the resumption of suspended pension payments due to the coronavirus pandemic and the 2020 war operations.
- In connection with events in a foreign country in a state of emergency, to resume payments of suspended pensions of pensioners in that country that have not expired as of the date of the written application, based on a power of attorney certified by a notary public in that country.
