November 28, joint sitting of the Artsakh NA Standing Committees on Foreign Relations and Budget, Financial and Economic Management was convened.
The 2023 budgets of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, tourism, public television and the Radio Company, "Azat Artsakh" newspaper were presented.
The acting Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Artsakh, Davit Babayan, first reviewed the 2022 budget, where maintenance costs amounted to AMD 714 mln 332 thousand. In 2023, maintenance costs will decrease by 169.5 million, which is due to the decrease in the costs of permanent representations of Artsakh abroad.
The tourism budget was presented by Lernik Hovhannisyan, deputy minister of Education, Sport, Youth and Tourism. In 2023, the budget of the sector is planned to be AMD 33.5 mln, which will be directed to the development and exit from the crisis situation.
The 2023 budget of the Republic of Artsakh public television and radio company is planned to be AMD 446 million 600 thousand, 86.5 percent of which is the salary fund. AMD 2 million is planned for the purchase of new equipment.
The budget of "Azat Artsakh" newspaper remained unchanged, AMD 106 mln 503 thousand, of which 80 mln 649 thousand dram forms the salary fund. 8 million drams will be provided at the expense of own income.
