July 19, Artur Tovmasyan, President of the National Assembly of Artsakh, accepted American Armenian writer, philanthropist, President of the Westbrook City Council, Anna Astvataturyan- Turkott

Welcoming the American Armenian philanthropist, the Head of Parliament congratulated the guest on getting the RA citizenship and on being elected the Chair of the Westbrook City Council.

Artur Tovmasyan highlighted the importance of "Anna Astvataturyan" Foundation; in particular, the activity of the "My Love, Artsakh" baby box initiative, launched by the latter.

Anna Turkott first thanked for the reception and then emphasized: "My motto is to protect Artsakh. The main goal of the "My Love, Artsakh" charity program was to remind our compatriots in the Diaspora that Artsakh exists, lives and every child born in Artsakh should be supported. People in the diaspora are unaware of the situation in Artsakh, and I hope that I can make a certain assessment with my plans and visit."

She noted that the contents of the gift box provided to Artsakh newborns and their mothers within the framework of the "My Love, Artsakh" program, are collected and packed in Armenia and Artsakh. According to the opinion expressed by the beneficiaries, the program is successful.

At the meeting, which was attended by Vahram Balayan, Chairman of the NA Standing Committee on Foreign Relations and Bella Lalayan, Chief Advisor to the President of the National Assembly, the security issues of Artsakh and the solution of the housing problems of forcibly displaced Artsakh citizens were touched upon.

Artur Tovmasyan assured that only with the trinity Artsakh-Armenia-Diaspora and with the formation of a nationwide agenda new successes will be registered.

The NA President presented souvenirs to Anna Astvataturyan-Turkott and wished her success in her patriotic activities.
