April 14, the parliamentarians of the National Assembly of the Artsakh Republic visited the Stepanakert Memorial and laid flowers at the grave of Artsakh state-political figure, first chairman of the NKR Supreme Council, Artur Mkrtchyan.

30 years ago, on this day, the life of the person, heartily devoted to the Artsakh liberation movement was interrupted.

"Let no one think that without Armenians living in Karabakh, Karabakh can become part of Armenia. The land belongs to the one who lives on that land and protects it."

This conviction of Artur Mkrtchyan is more demanded and relevant today than ever.

Artur Mkrtchyan ruled Artsakh for only 97 days, but due to his unique political and human features, he left an indelible mark on the modern history of Artsakh.
