September 24, the Republic of Artsakh Standing Committee on State and Legal Affairs convened a sitting chaired by the Chairman, Sevak Aghajanyan.

The agenda included the discussion of the draft law "On Making Amendments to the Law on Notary".

The draft law stipulates to have only one notarial area in the Republic of Artsakh.

Taking into account the fact that a part of the population of the occupied territories of the Artsakh Republic is accommodated in the Republic of Armenia, notary business trip to the Republic of Armenia to carry out notarial acts among the displaced population is defined by the draft.

"The adoption of the bill will ensure the convenience of the population to use notarial acts, which will eliminate unnecessary hassles in this area," said the Minister of Justice of the Republic of Artsakh, Zhirayr Mirzoyan.

The draft was approved by the Committee, thus it will be submitted for discussion at the forthcoming plenary sitting.
