August 4, a working meeting was organized on the initiative of the Artsakh Republic National Assembly Standing Committee on Science, Education, Culture, Youth and Sports to discuss the renovation of the secondary school No10 in Stepanakert destroyed after the 44-day war. State Minister Artak Beglaryan, Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports Lusine Gharakhanyan, Minister of Urban Development Aram Sargsyan, Stepanakert Mayor Davit Sargsyan, Advisor to the President of the Republic of Artsakh Armen Sargsyan, school principal Anahit Hakobyan were invited.

The need in improving the seismic resistance of the school building existed yet before the war. A project was developed based on the conclusion of the Republic Seismic Station in 2018, according to which the fastening works on the bearing walls and the ones between the floors need to be done.

As a result, it was proposed to revise the initial draft in order to avoid unnecessary expenses and renovate the building in a shorter time. The works are planned to be carried out in stages: each building separately. That will allow not to disrupt the educational process.

Construction will be fully completed in the summer of 2022.
