May 25, the Republic of Artsakh National Assembly President Artur Tovmasyan made a statement, which reads:

"According to Article 129, Part 1 of the "Rules of Procedure of the National Assembly", I announce that Vahram Baghdasaryan, Chairman of the Artsakh Republic Accounting Chamber, submitted his resignation on May 25.

According to Article 129, Part 2 of the “Rules of Procedure of the National Assembly”, if, in a week’s time after the resignation announcement, the official takes his application on resignation back with a written application, then the Head of the National Assembly acknowledges the statement. If he does not take back his resignation, then a protocol of the cessation of his powers shall be drawn up, which shall be signed and published by the President of the National Assembly. The resignation shall be considered from the moment of publication”.
