Artsakh Republic NA President Artur Tovmasyan Received the Newly Appointed Foreign Minister

Today the NA President Artur Tovmasyan met with the newly appointed Foreign Minister Davit Babayan, the Deputy Foreign Ministers, the Chief of Staff of the Ministry.

Arthur Tovmasyan congratulated Davit Babayan on his appointment to that responsible position and wished him fruitful work.

«The directions and scope of the MFA work have changed due to new realities, » said the Head of the Parliament and express the NA support to the Foreign Ministry in meeting the challenges.

In this context, the head of the country's legislature singled out two important issues: the security of the people and the realization of the right to self-determination. Arthur Tovmasyan used to deepen ties with the Armenian Foreign Ministry and intensify efforts to find the missing.

Artsakh Foreign Minister Davit Babayan, in his turn, highlighted the importance of such meetings emphasizing the need to get acquainted with the views of all parliamentary forces. He noted that the ministry has a good team; they are ready to face the existing challenges. Both sides used parliamentary diplomacy, which allows them to bypass many political obstacles.

The Vice-President of the National Assembly Gagik Baghunts and the Chair of the Foreign Affairs Committee Vahram Balayan were present at the meeting.
