January 5, the first meeting of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia Ara Ayvazyan, who is on a working visit to the Artsakh Republic, and the President of the Artsakh Republic National Assembly Arthur Tovmasyan took place.
Then the meeting continued in the presence of the Republic of Artsakh newly appointed Minister of Foreign Affairs David Babayan, the representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia, the Vice-President of the Republic of Artsakh National Assembly, the heads of the factions and the chairs of the standing committees.
Welcoming and congratulating the newly appointed Ministers of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia and the Republic of Artsakh, the NA President first of all expressed hope that the people of Artsakh and the members of the Parliament are always by the side of the Republic of Armenia people. They will fight for the independence of Artsakh through parliamentary diplomacy, as well as are ready to ratify mutually beneficial cooperation agreements not only within the region, but also with different countries.
RA Foreign Minister Ara Ayvazyan thanked for the warm reception and assured that the diplomacy of Armenia and Artsakh started from the Artsakh conflict, during which they had both successes and failures. RA Foreign Minister Ara Ayvazyan stressed that the work on the self-determination and conflict of Artsakh will continue. Then the meeting was followed by the questions of the NA President, NA Vice-President, standing committees and factions addressed to the RA Minister of Foreign Affairs.
