Ladies and gentlemen.
We are glad that the symposium is dedicated to one of the most pressing topics in the countries - food security as well as storage and efficient use of fresh water.
Only the combination of fundamental and sectoral sciences with the participation of enterprises of the real sector of the economy and the support of states will make it possible to talk about the guarantees of the success in this difficult but strategically important issue.
We hope that the launch of today’s event will be ongoing. We are ready to support and participate in projects, through which it will be possible to share experience, technology and relevant materials.
The exchange of such information between the countries of the former Soviet Union and the communication between the scientific and environmental organizations which will not only contribute to the establishment of good-neighborly relations, but will also allow us to expect mutually beneficial cooperation is welcome.
I am grateful that representatives from Russia, Georgia, the Republic of Armenia and the Republic of Artsakh are present at the event. I hope that the geography of the participants will expand from now on not only on this topic, but also on other important issues for the people's economy.
Special thanks to the Academician Abel G. Aghanbekyan, who has visited our republic many times and has made great contribution to the Republic of Armenia and the development of the Republic of Artsakh economy. I would also like to express my special thanks to my teacher, academician Samvel S. Grigoryan, whose works, as far as I know, will be discussed today.
I am looking forward to the active participation of Shushi Technological University in cooperation with major scientific and educational centers in order to increase the quality of education and improve the level of the scientific and pedagogical staff training.
I will take part in the events with great interest and look forward to having mutually beneficial proposals.
