June 24, the President of the Republic of Artsakh National Assembly Artur Tovmasyan visited the Great Patriotic War veteran, 96-year-old Armik Babayan. 75 years ago, on the same day in 1945, Armik Babayan participated in the Moscow Red Square Solemn Parade on the occasion of the USSR victory over Germany in the Great Patriotic War.
The Head of the Parliament congratulated of the Great Patriotic War veteran on the occasion of victory and expressed gratitude for the greatest feats to grant the present generation freedom and peace.
Armik Babayan was born in the village of Msmna, Martuni region of the Artsakh Republic. He was awarded with the medals «For the Victory over Germany in the Great Patriotic War 1941-1945», «For the Liberation of Warsaw», «For the Capture of Berlin», «For Battle Merit» and the Order of the Red Star.
The NA President was interested in the social conditions of the war veterans and assured that dignified social conditions will be provided to them by the state.
