The Standing Committee on Science, Education, Culture, Youth and Sports of the Republic of Artsakh 7th convocation National Assembly organized a meeting with the Chair of the same NA Standing committee of the 6th convocation, Armen Sargsyan, chaired by Aram Harutyunyan, in the small hall of the Parliament,.
Opening the meeting, Aram Harutyunyan praised Armen Sargsyan's long-term activity in the sphere and his in-depth knowledge of the problems. The Chair of the Committee suggested highlighting the main issues of the sphere and setting the priorities during such meetings.
Congratulating the newly elected deputies, Armen Sargsyan wished them fruitful work. Presenting the work of the Committee, the latter stressed the constant contacts with the government and organizing frequent discussions on issues related to the spheres. Former Chair of the Standing Committee highlighted the importance of the memorandum of cooperation signed between the relevant committees of the parliaments of Artsakh and Armenia, pointed out the practical steps already taken in that direction, in particular, the cooperation in the legislative field and the organization of joint hearings. Armen Sargsyan suggested continuing the work in that direction and deepening it.
The study of educational systems, the oversight functions of the Standing Committee, development of action strategy in the field, refresher courses for teachers and a number of other issues have been discussed at the meeting.
Gagik Baghunts, Vice-President of the 7th convocation National Assembly, member of the Standing Committee on Science, Education, Culture, Youth and Sports of the National Assembly of the 6th convocation also took part in the discussion.
