French Delegation Members Presented to the NA President Future Cooperation Programs with Artsakh

October 12, President of the National Assembly Ashot Ghoulyan received the delegation from France, which included the «France-Artsakh» friendship group members, local government officials, journalists and responsible for the Hay Dat French office. The delegation in Artsakh is accompanied by Hovhannes Gevorgyan, Artsakh representative to France.

Speaking about the cooperation between Artsakh and France, the Head of the Parliament assessed it as a successful and exemplary friendship, the level of which are increasing year by year. Ashot Ghoulyan also referred to the sister cities and villages of Artsakh and France, their cooperation and obstacles that arise in the process.

Expressing gratitude for the reception, François Rochebloine President of the France-Artsakh Friendship Circle, noted that today with the signing of a memorandum with the Ministry of Education, Science and Sport of Artsakh on the construction of the Paul Eluard Francophonie Center in Stepanakert the cooperation is complemented by one more practical step. He also expressed hope that other cities will join the signing of memoranda of cooperation with the French cities of Artsakh.

The mayors of Arnօuville and Bourg-le-Valance, France, Pascal Doll and Marlene Mourier, spoke about the declarations of co-operation between France and Artsakh canceled by the Grenoble Administrative Court on June 11 this year.

During the meeting ideas were exchanged to make Artsakh recognizable through Francophonie, targeted collaboration between sister cities and topics related to the Azerbaijani-Karabakh conflict negotiation process.

The meeting was also attended by the NA deputies – members of the friendship circle «Artsakh-France».
