Artsakh Republic National Assembly President Ashot Ghoulyan’s Working Visit to Belgium

The delegation headed by the President of the Artsakh Republic National Assembly Ashot Ghoulyan is in Belgium from March 5.

On the first day of his working visit, the Head of the Parliament visited the European Armenian Federation for Justice and Democracy (EAFJD) office in Brussels and met with the staff of the structure, as well as the ARFD Belgian Committee, Armenian Relief Society (ARS), All-Armenian Cultural Association, Aram Yerkanyan ARF Youth Union, Armenian General Athletic Association responsible staff.

Presenting the participants, Gaspar Karapetyan, the head of the Armenian ARF office in Europe noted that representatives of the organizations participating in the meeting are related to Artsakh and other issues of the pan-national agenda in their daily work and from this point of view highlighted the importance of frequency of such meetings.

Welcoming the participants, President of the National Assembly highly assessed the efforts of the Armenian organizations operating in Belgium in terms of presenting Artsakh and emphasized the importance of cooperation with the Artsakh Republic National Assembly over the past years.

In his speech the Head of the Parliament touched upon continuous the development of the Armenia-Artsakh-Diaspora partnership, the steps to effectively use the pan-Armenian potential, participation of Artsakh in the negotiation process on the Azerbaijani-Karabakh conflict, future cooperation in the training of staff and topics related to the work of Artsakh with European parliament and inter-parliamentary organizations.

Then the NA President answered the questions of the participants.

The delegation headed by Ashot Ghoulyan includes Deputy Foreign Minister of the Republic of Artsakh Armine Alexanyan and Gegham Stepanyan, Assistant to the Head of the National Assembly of the Republic of Artsakh.
