Born on January 10, 1955 in the village of Dahrav in the Askeran district

1972 – Finished the Stepanakert secondary school No 2

1984-1986 - Served in the Soviet army

1976-1981 - Graduated with honors from the Yerevan Agricultural Institute. The same year entered postgraduate study at the Institute of Botany of the Armenian Academy of Sciences. The training took place in the Main Botanical Garden of the Russian Academy of Sciences

1984-1988 - Researcher at the Institute of Botany of the National Academy of Sciences of the Armenian SSR

2001-2005 - Minister of Agriculture of the NKR

June 19, 2005 - Elected a deputy of the NKR National Assembly of the 4th convocation from electoral district No 10

2005-2010 - Chairman of the NKR NA Standing Committee on Financial and Budgetary Affairs and Economic Management, member of the "Democracy" faction

2010 - Founding director of LLC "Academy"

Has a PhD degree in Biological Sciences

Married, has three children
