Born on May 12, 1924 in the village of Noragyugh, Askeran district

1942 - Finished the secondary school of the village of Khanapat, then worked as an accountant in the collective farm of the village

1948 - Graduated with honors from Kirovabad Agricultural Institute, then was appointed agronomist in the regional rural administration

1948-1955 - Worked as an agronomist in the Hadrout district, then - as Head of the agricultural department, director of the machine and tractor station

1955 - Appointed Head of the regional department of agriculture of the NKAO

1959-1962 - First Secretary of the Stepanakert District Committee of the Communist Party

1963-1974 - Chairman of the Executive Committee of the Nagorno-Karabakh Regional Council, Deputy Chairman of the Presidium of the NKR Supreme Council

1980-1989 - Deputy Chairman of the Republican Unions "Azerselkhozhimiya", then - First Deputy Chairman

1993 - Appointed Chairman of the Central Election Commission of the NKR

June 18, 2000 – Elected deputy to the National Assembly of the third convocation of the NKR from Askeran constituency No 15. Elected deputy chairman of the National Assembly, member of the presidium of the National Assembly

2005-2015 - Adviser to the NA Speaker

Elected a deputy of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR on the 7th and 8th convocations

Elected three times as a deputy of the Supreme Soviet of the Azerbaijan SSR. For 25 years he has been elected deputy of the regional council of the Nagorno-Karabakh Autonomous Oblast (District)

Died on October 1, 2017

Awarded three Orders of the Red Banner of Labor, two Orders of the Badge of Honor, the Order "Mesrop Mashtots" (07.05.2014) and the Medal "Mkhitar Gosh" (09.05.2004).
