1982-1990 - Foreman of the mechanized column of Shaumyan district

1990-1992 - Commander of the detachment of self-defense

1993-1995 - Deputy Commander of the Shahumyan military special purpose unit, then the regiment

1998 - Participated in the work on the settlement of the territory of Karvachar. He was the builder of the authorized representative of the territory

2000 - Appointed chief architect of Shahumyan district

June 18, 2000 - Elected deputy of the NKR National Assembly of the 3rd convocation from the Shahumyan constituency No 12. He was member of the Standing Committee on defense and law and order
