1982-1992 - Electronic regulator of the Stepanakert condenser plant

1986 - One of the founders and a member of the organization "Artsakhakan Miutyun"

1987-1988 - Member of the CPSU Central Committee, board member of the condenser plant

1988 - One of the founders and a member of the Armenian Socialist Artsakh Party

April 1989 - Elected a member of the Artsakh organization of the Armenian Revolutionary Federation "Dashnaktsutyun"

Participated in the Artsakh national liberation struggle - the organization of collecting signatures, creating, arming and training weapons of combat detachments

November 1991 – May 1992 - the commander of the 6th zone of self-defense of Stepanakert

December 28, 1991 - elected to the Supreme Council of the first convocation of the NKR from the Stepanakert constituency No. 24

Since January 1993 - Expert of the commission of the Supreme Council of the Nagorno Karabakh Republic on human rights and national minorities

1995  - was elected to the second convocation of the National Assembly of the NKR from the Stepanakert constituency No. 11.
