Born on October 13, 1953 in the town of Martuni in Nagorno-Karabakh

1961-1971 - Studied at the secondary school in Martuni

1971-1973 - Served in the Soviet army

1973-1974 - Studied in the Moscow branch of the Yerevan Commercial Institute

1974 - Entered the Martuni district financial department

1979 - Graduated from the Yerevan Institute of National Economy

1975-1990 - Worked in the public catering system of Martuni district, at the wine factory of Gevorgavan, in the district committee of Martuni, in the Agropromkombinat (Industrial Complex)

December 28, 1991 - Elected deputy of the NKR Supreme Council of the first convocation from Chartar electoral district No 64

1991 - Appointed acting Chairman of the regional committee of the Nagorno-Karabakh Autonomous District

September 1991 - Elected chairman of the regional council of the Nagorno-Karabakh Autonomous Oblast (District)

January 1992 - Appointed 1st deputy Head, and then - Head of the special programs department of the RA

January 1995 - 1998 - Prime Minister of the NKR

March-September 1997 - Acting President of the NKR

1998-1999 - Deputy Minister of Defense of Armenia

June-October 1999 - Minister for Operational Issues of Armenia

Killed in the meeting hall of the National Assembly on October 27, 1999

Has four children
