
Born on February 7, 1958 in the city of Gandzak (Kirovabad)
1974-1979 - Studied at the Tashkent Institute of Russian Language and Literature, and after graduation he worked as a lecturer at the Tashkent State Pedagogical Institute
November-December 1988 - During the pogroms of Armenians in Soviet Azerbaijan was one of the organizers of the self-defense of Armenians Gandzak
1989 - Moved to Nagorno-Karabakh with his family. He was deputy head of the movement "Miatsum". Until 1991 he worked as the head of the Department of Refugee Affairs of the NKAO Executive Committee
December 28, 1991 - Elected deputy of the NKR Supreme Council of the first convocation from the Stepanakert constituency No 16. He was chairman of the Standing Committee on foreign relations, member of the presidium of the NKR Supreme Council
1995-1997 - Editor-in-chief of the newspaper "NK Republic"
1997 - Moved to Yerevan and began to engage in public and scientific activities. Was a lecturer in a number of Armenian universities and a correspondent of the newspaper "Golos Armenii"(Voice of Armenia) and the agency "De Facto"
Published about a dozen books and monographs
Author of hundreds of articles and analytical work
2008 - Founded the analytical center "Voskanapat" and information and analytical site “Voskanapat.info” in Yerevan
He was engaged in the study of the Azerbaijani-Artsakh conflict and prospects for regional security
Died on August 11, 2015
Has three children
Awarded the Medal "Garegin Nzhdeh" (2015). Posthumously awarded the Order "Mesrop Mashtots" (16.02.2018)
