Born on May 12, 1956 in the village of Sarinshen, Hadrout district

1973 – Finished secondary school

1975-1977 - Served in the rocket forces of the Soviet army. After the service he started work in the Armenian Nuclear Power Plant

1978 - Moved to the city of Sverdlovsk and went to work in the plant "Uralkhimmash". At the same time he studied at the Sverdlovsk Law Institute

1985 - Head of the organizational department of the Hadrout District Executive Committee.

Headed the Hadrout underground cell right from the beginning of the Karabakh movement

February 1988 – Together with other activists has demonstrations and strikes with activists, while creating self-defense groups in all districts of the region. He was elected the head of the village headquarters of the Hadrout region. Together with the Stepanakert Bureau, led by R. Kocharyan, organized self-defense detachments, rallies and simultaneously sent letters to CPSU Central Committee

1989 - Joined the ARF "Dashnaktsutyun" party

December 28, 1991 - Elected to the NKR Supreme Council of the first convocation from the Banadzor constituency No. 39. He was a member of the Standing Committee on Defense and Security

1992-1995 - Head of the Hadrout District Administration

He headed the defense of the Hadrout region, and then the offensive of the Armenian armed forces.

He defended the defense of the Hadrout region, then the counter-actions of the Armenian armed forces

1998 - Representative of the central committee of the ARF of Artsakh

Married and has two children.
