September 28, President of the Republic of Artsakh National Assembly Ashot Ghoulyan made a statement, which reads:

“On September 28, the NA deputy of the constituency No 6, member of the NA member of the “Motherland” faction Ivan Avanesyan, according to part 1 of Article 137 and part 1 of Article 138 of the Law “Rules of Procedure of the National Assembly” submitted a resignation application.

According to Part 2 of Article 138 of the Law "Regulations of the National Assembly", if a deputy submits a written application and does not withdraw his application for resignation within one week, then a protocol is drawn up on the termination of his powers, which is sent to the Central Election Commission. The resignation shall be considered accepted from the moment of the protocol publication. "
