NKR National Assembly Parliamentarian of the Second Convocation Lavrent Gabrielyan Has Passed Away

July 7, NKR National Assembly deputy of the second convocation, well-known teacher and active public figure, Lavrent Benik Gabrielyan has passed away.

Lavrent Gabrielyan was born on March 8, 1951 in the village of Khnatsakh, Askeran region, in the family of a teacher.

1996-1970 – studied in the pedagogical college in the city of Shoushi.

1970-1972 – served in the Soviet Army.

1974-1979 – studied at the faculty of History of the Yerevan Pedagogical Institute after Khachatur Abovyan.

1974-1979 - a teacher in his native village

1977-1979 - an instructor in the regional committee of Komsomol of Nagorno-Karabakh

1979-1981 – an instructor at the Stepanakert City Committee of the Communist Party, at the same time held the position of a literary employee of the newspaper "Krasniy Flag"

1981-1992 - a teacher-organizer at the Stepanakert Housing and communal service №1

1992-1995 – a chief of the agency for the dissemination of the press "Artsakh Mamul"

April 30, 1995 – elected the NKR Supreme Council deputy by the majority system from Stepanakert election district №7

June 23, 1995-March 12 1996 – the NKR deputy Chairman of the Parliament, member       of the Standing Committee on production and industrial infrastructures

1998-2000 served in the NKR Defense Army

2001-2003 - Head of Educational-Methodical Department in the Emergency Service

2003-2006 - Stepanakert city authorized representative in the socio-political organization "ZHAM". Since 2005- member of the Union of Karabakh war veterans.

 2006-2008 - an engineer for labor protection and safety in JSC "DorStroyRemont", and was chairman of the republican branch union "Solidarity" trade union of employees of the NKR organizations.

2008-2014 - director of the Stepanakert trade school

NKR National Assembly expresses its condolences over the death of Lavrent  Benik Gabrielyan and sends words of support to his family and friends.

The memory of him will remain forever bright in the hearts of the people Artsakh.
