May 4, the NKR National Assembly President, Ashot Ghoulyan convoked a working meeting with the participation of the Deputy Head of the NA, chairmen of the standing committees and senior officials.

During the meeting the drafts were discussed, in particular, the draft law on amendments and additions to the NKR law "On Road Safety" and on making additions and amendments to the NKR law "On State Pensions".

The chairmen of the relevant committees Hovik Jivanyan and Aram Grigoryan presented corresponding reports on the pending parliamentary bills.

The agenda of the regular meeting also included issue of appointment of the NKR human rights defender.

It should be reminded that on April 25 this year the NKR Ombudsman Yuri Hayrapetyan presented the first statement of resignation to the National Assembly, and on May 3, according to claim 3, part 2 of Article 6 of the NKR law "On Human Rights Defender", again filed an application for early termination of authority.

Summing up the meeting, Ashot Ghoulyan announced that the next regular  plenary meeting of the 3rd session of the NKR National Assembly of the 6th convocation will be held on May 5, at 11:00.
